Fête Nationale

Vive la France!
The 14th of July was the French National Day, the Bastille Day...
During this celebration, there's many activities and fireworks all over the country that commemorate the French Republic. One of the most spectacular firework, of course, happens to be in Paris, around the Eiffel tower, but there's also the one in the medieval city, Carcassonne, where I've been! At one time, we could swear the castle was in fire because of the blazing of the fireworks. Was so amazing and impressive!

Here are some looks that I particularly like, posted on LookBook a few days ago with the colours of France!
The Blue harem pants, the White lace tee and the classic Red bag

Les Soldes!

In France, there's a period during summer where there's sales in every single boutique! Everyone is waiting for this moment to splurge. Here in Marseille this period goes from the 6th of July to the 9th of August. (Paris: june 22 to july 26) I couln't resist! I had to buy at least one thing...or more...even if Im travelling and I need to save my money, but anyways, when its the sales, everything is A LOT cheaper and it's worth it!

Here's what I bought: A beautiful pair of brown fringe sandals, 8€ at Paris Mode, a shoe heaven!, a gorgeous long pastel blouse, 7€ at H&M and a wide lacy peach tank, 5€ at H&M
Could have bought the whole store!

Trend Report - Pantalon fleuri

Being in an other country is a great way to discover and see different styles, fashions or way of dressing. In Montreal, I noticed the hype for harem pants, especially from H&M or Zara. Here in France (reported in Paris & Marseille), the trend is going a little bit further with the addition of floral patterns on them! You may like it or not, the flowers or the baggyness, you may think it looks like your mom's pyjamas?... IM JUST REPORTING :P Yup, this look is actually a big hit here in France, especially if you add a Panama or Capeline hat. It was also seen on the catwalk with Dolce&Gabbana's collection.
For a more subtle look, its more prudent to opt for a neutral color of harem pants like black or tan.

Marseille - Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde

PHOTOS: Kizsteella

Here I am in sunny Marseille! I wore this outfit to go visit one of the most beautiful place a tourist must see in the city: La basilique Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde... You can take Le Petit Train, down in the Vieux-Port, which will drive you to this magical place! On top, you can admire the surreal 360° view on all the streets and the coast. And while you're here, you can enter in the basilic to appreciate the luxurious decoration. A Must-See!
